It was so obviously a story – no one would relate with any of the characters. Kelsey’s story is as usual a bit unbelievable, and her relationship with Gabe Slater is rather unbelievable. True Betrayals falls into her crime work and was a enjoyable read. Nora Roberts has played with many genres – crime (in which she is a mildly proficient writer), romance (her best work), Mills and Boon (highly awkward), supernatural (she honestly sucks in it) and futuristic (I haven’t read those yet) But as the two women rebuild their relationship-and Kelsey finds herself swept into an unsettling new romance-she must decide once and for all who she can trust, and who threatens to betray her… The bonds of love can be fragile…as Kelsey learned from her recently ended marriage. Now, at Naomi’s Virginia horse farm, Kelsey is trying to sort out a lifetime of deception-and her feelings about her mother. But now, after all this time, she has discovered the truth: Naomi Chadwick is still alive-after spending years in prison for the murder of her lover.
